This realisation drives my passion today: to help athletes break through internal barriers, rediscover the joy of the game, and perform at their best with freedom, not fear.
The Power of Conversation
Over the years, authentic conversations with friends, mentors, and strangers helped me realise I wasn’t broken—just human. One conversation in particular sparked a new path when a friend said, “You’d make a great therapist.”
Since then, I’ve spent nearly 30 years guiding others through transformative conversations rooted in compassion, clarity, and truth.
A Game-Changing Discovery: The Three Principles
More recently, I came across The Three Principles, an understanding that has completely transformed my work and life. It reconnects people to the peace, resilience, and clarity they already possess—helping them realise that transformation doesn’t require effort, just insight.
I now combine decades of experience with this life-changing approach to help people unlock their true potential—naturally and sustainably.
My Journey in Psychology and Performance
Began in 1997 with CBT-based counselling in secondary schools
Expanded into private practice using NLP, Hypnosis, and Timeline Therapy
Coached elite athletes in rugby, rowing (Olympians), cricket, and more
Helped Falmouth Rowing Club become World Champions and Redruth RFC gain promotion
Worked with Gazing Performance: - in mental skills training for ‘Performance Under Pressure’
- Trained the top 10 coaches in the Dutch Tennis Federation
- Coached for the England Rugby Academy
- Supported teachers and school leaders to perform under pressure
My own life experiences including raising a family and building a home, deepened my understanding of human development beyond anything found in books.
In questioning traditional models of therapy, I found myself drawn to something more natural, more hopeful and ultimately, more effective.
About Me: From Inner Turmoil to Inner Strength
My journey began in childhood. From the age of six, I was already grappling with an overactive mind and a deep craving for peace. Raised in a large, sport-obsessed family and navigating dyslexia, I struggled with shame, anxiety, and a persistent feeling of not belonging.
Sport and heartfelt conversation were the two lifelines that helped me find moments of clarity, connection, and hope.
Sport: From Sanctuary to Strain and Back
Sport gave me purpose, self-worth, and freedom from overthinking. But as performance pressures grew, perfectionism and fear of failure took over. It dulled my instincts and limited my potential. I now realise: it wasn’t a lack of ability—it was my mindset that held me back.
